This year’s event brought together exhibitors and visitors from more than 60 countries, showcasing a mix of international innovation and local expertise. Beyond luxury yachts and high-end watercraft, the show highlighted homegrown brands, emerging technology, and the latest advancements in maritime security.
Innovation Hub: A Launchpad for Start-ups
The introduction of the Innovation Hub at DIBS provided a platform for start-ups in the marine industry. Supported by Yachting Ventures, this initiative helped new businesses from the UAE and beyond introduce their products and connect with investors and partners. Start-ups from Kuwait, Egypt, and France were among those exhibiting, offering solutions that tackle efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the maritime sector.
Among the featured companies:
- Airmarker, which develops signal balloons to assist vessels in distress.
- Hydroflyer, a company designing electric hydrofoil crafts.

The Proudly UAE segment at DIBS once again put the spotlight on local companies that have solidified their reputation in boat building, marine services, and maritime innovation. Brands such as Ocean Boats, Nomad Marine Services, and Al Fajer Marine LLC presented their latest advancements, showcasing the quality and craftsmanship that define the UAE’s marine industry.
Flavio Gatti, Manager at Al Fajer Marine, underscored the event’s importance for UAE manufacturers. Operating from Dubai Maritime City, the company displayed three vessels, including a 60-foot monohull from the Bullet series. Equipped with five engines producing 2000 HP, the vessel exemplified the high-performance design and engineering that local brands are delivering to the market.
Dubai International Marine Club also played a key role, reinforcing its status as a driving force behind marine sports and leisure activities in the UAE.
Dubai Police: Protecting UAE Waters with Cutting-Edge Technology
The Dubai Police exhibit, a highlight at DIBS each year, featured smart security services, AI-powered monitoring technologies, and environmentally friendly electric patrol boats. The introduction of the ‘Sail Safely’ service aimed to enhance emergency response efficiency and strengthen safety measures in UAE waters.
Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Qusib Al Naqbi, Deputy Director of the Ports Police Station, stated that these innovations reflected Dubai’s ongoing efforts to improve maritime security through advanced technology.

Dubai International Boat Show, the global luxury yacht and lifestyle show, has once again underscored its position as a global assembly space attracting visitors and exhibitors from more than 60 countries, while providing a stage both for UAE-based maritime companies and overseas start-ups.
Throughout the five-day event, which runs until 23 February, DIBS is welcoming 1,000 brands and 200-plus yachts and watercrafts to Dubai Harbour for the 31st edition of the annual yachting experience.
Start-ups in the spotlight
Brought to the show by Yachting Ventures, the leading media and events platform for start-ups and emerging tech in leisure marine, this year’s DIBS Innovation Hub is providing a space for start-ups from countries including Kuwait, Egypt, and France to exhibit their products and services.
Lionel Pean, President of Seafloatech, which has designed, tested and perfected a mooring line system with a gloat interface, said: “As a young company launching new products, having the support of DIBS is invaluable in helping us navigate the challenge of risk. Dubai is a truly magical place where anything seems possible, especially with the rapid development happening at sea. For a company like ours, DIBS’ support will likely help us grow faster here than anywhere else in the world.”
Start-ups exhibiting in the hub include Airmarker, which manufactures signal balloons to support vessels in distress; Hydroflyer, which focuses on electric hydrofoil crafts; Waves, a mobile application that eases the booking process of boat-led travel adventures; Mulca Technologies, a fractional ownership model; and Yacht Coin, a cryptocurrency tailored for the luxury motor yacht industry.

Dubai is remarkable in its vision for the future—constantly thinking ahead and building today for what’s to come. We are similarly wired and hope to support and contribute to that.”
The initiative is not only cost effective for the start-ups, but also provides support in their first exhibition in Dubai to maximise relationship-building and awareness. Joris Van Aelst, Founding Owner & Creative Director at Bcraft, a family business creating bespoke crafts for adventure and leisure said: “DIBS plays a crucial role in supporting innovation, making it the perfect platform for us. While the show is widely established as one of the key dates on the global calendar for international maritime corporations, the annual exhibition also continues to help and highlight local companies with its returning Proudly UAE segment. The feature serves as an important platform to shine an international spotlight and provide exposure in a bid to raise awareness on an industry wide scale.

Mohammed bin Rashid tours the 31st edition of Dubai International Boat Show
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today visited the 31st edition of the Dubai International Boat Show, being organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) at Dubai Harbour until 23 February.
This edition of the event features the participation of more than 1,000 brands representing more than 60 countries and over 200 yachts and watercraft.
Accompanying His Highness during his visit was His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
His Highness reaffirmed the Dubai International Boat Show’s position as one of the world’s premier maritime exhibitions and a key driver in strengthening Dubai’s status as a leading global maritime hub.
His Highness said: “The Dubai International Boat Show underscores Dubai’s status as a global hub for yachting and a leading destination for maritime tourism. With its world-class infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities, Dubai has become a preferred choice for visiting yachts and international cruise ships.”
